33 ALERTS was developed by Barry Peterson, founder of School Check IN, a school visitor management company established in 2003.
More than 20 years of experience working with schools, administrators, security professionals and technology leaders helped shape a practical reporting system designed for the places where people work, learn, visit and gather.
33 ALERTS gives guests, students, employees, vendors and visitors a simple way to report safety, security, maintenance and service concerns using the smartphone they already carry. No 33 ALERTS app is required.
Our Experience
At School Check IN, Barry Peterson and his team developed visitor-management features including driver license scanning, sex offender screening, student tardy tracking, faculty and staff check-in, substitute tracking, volunteer management and volunteer-hour reporting.
That experience provided firsthand knowledge of how security and administrative systems are actually used in schools and public facilities.
It also reinforced an important lesson: technology works best when it is simple for the person who needs to use it.
